Abstract: Photovoltaic solar energy converts solar radiation into electricity through specific cells, representing a clean and renewable energy source. The efficiency of solar plants depends on factors such as location, panel orientation, and climatic conditions. In Rio Grande do Norte, there has been a significant increase in investments in this sector; however, there are still few studies evaluating the performance of photovoltaic systems in universities. Therefore, this research analyzes the productivity of photovoltaic plants at UFERSA using the Final Yield indicator to assess their operational efficiency. Variables such as climate, equipment performance, maintenance, and system operation were considered. The methodology involved collecting and analyzing energy generation data over a defined period, applying the yield index in relation to the installed capacity. The results indicate that Plant 03 in Caraúbas showed higher efficiency due to its more recent technology. Additionally, it was observed that maintenance and equipment quality have a greater impact on performance than geographical location.
