Abstract

Prices of vermicides were searched with the following pharmacological basis: Fenbendazol, Ivermectin, Abamectin and Mebendazol. The obtained results were submitted to the arithmetic mean of prices, calculated on the basis of an animal of 400Kg, using two protocols of parasitological control. Based on this work, it was verified that Fenbendazol is the more economically viable drug. Eight veterinary drug stores were visited to survey the prices of vaccines for Tetanus, Encephalomyelitis, Influenza and Rabies, since these diseases are among those that most affect horses. The results were analyzed according to the minimum, maximum and through arithmetic mean prices. According to the survey, it was observed that currently the costs of a vaccination program increased in relation to the last survey done. Keywords: Vaccine, horses, tetanus, encephalomyelitis, influenza, rabies.
