This article discusses the development of an unprecedented class that took place in a in a 2nd grade high school class at a state school in Rio Grande do Norte. The class addressed the resolution content of linear systems of type 2 x 2 and seeked, based on Raymond Duval's Theory of Semiotic Representation Records, to provide students with the knowledge of the geometric representation of linear equations with two unknowns and the determination of the solution of a 2 x 2 system without the need to perform algebraic calculations. In addition, during the class, used the GeoGebra application for smartphones to support students in correcting the activities developed. As a result, it was observed that the realization of the class provided the students involved with the opportunity to know and use other records to represent and solve 2 x 2 linear systems.
