Abstract

Brazil has a relevant potential with regard to solar photovoltaic energy, justified not only by the high levels of solar radiation, but also by its extensive area. The Northeast region is ahead as the region with the greatest generation potential, where the state of Ceará is the leader in installed power, being responsible for 13.68% of the national quantity. The present study has as main objective to evaluate the panorama of the solar photovoltaic generation of Ceará. To this end, it relates several data about the potential intrinsic to the State, quantifies the current installed power in both centralized and distributed generation, and counts and identifies the integrating companies present in the State, among others. From the study carried out, it is possible to verify that Ceará has advanced significantly in the photovoltaic sector, which is demonstrated by the evolution of the implantation of systems installed in the consumer units over the last 7 years, representing a percentage of growth above 1000%.
