Abstract

This study is based on load flow resolution to obtain the initial operating point by using differential equations that describe permanent magnet synchronous generators (PMSG) and their controls in the power grid. Six PMSG machines were simulated, interconnected to a power substation. For this research, simulations were conducted using Matlab software. The results demonstrated that PMSG wind turbines can operate under the condition of zero voltage in the analyzed case without losing stability.
