At a global level there is a notable expansion in the transition to clean and renewable energy sources, driving the increasing demand for wind energy, recognized for its efficiency and economic relevance. Wind power generation is gaining prominence due to its advantage as a renewable energy source, gradually reducing reliance on centralized generation models such as hydroelectric and thermal power plants. This characteristic foreshadows a continuous growth in the use of wind power generation. In the Brazilian context, wind energy is highly valued, especially in the Northeast region, given its favorable geographical location and climate for such implementation. Therefore, the present study aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the economic and energy impacts resulting from the introduction of wind farms in the municipality of Jandaíra, located in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. As a result, the research revealed a significant contribution to the region's economic growth, manifested through the creation of direct and indirect employment opportunities, as well as the increase in resources available in public funds.
