Abstract

Steam Generators (GVs) are equipment that convert liquid water into vapor. In the oil production process in mature fields, these devices are relevant, given that they inject steam into wells with the purpose of maintaining or increasing production. Measuring the availability of this equipment is a good indicator of maintenance effectiveness, in addition to this, anticipating possible failures is desirable for defining solutions that mitigate or inhibit breakdowns, this brings direct benefits to operational continuity and consequent maintenance of production. The objective of this article is to compare the operability and availability indicators of a sample of equipment over time and evaluate, based on failure notes, the importance of this information for maintenance management.
