As manifestações de masculinidades: do ato infracional ao sistema socioeducativo

This article aims to point out the flaws in the treatment given to adolescents in conflict with the law, mainly related to the reproduction of hegemonic gender patterns. Based on basic research and content review on the theme, we sought to understand the treatment given to children and adolescents throughout history in Brazil, in addition to the interpretation of data from the reports of the National Social and Educational Service System about the current Brazilian reality. In this sense and, given the context of deprivation of liberty, hegemonic gender rules are present from the coexistence and psychophysical growth of children and adolescents to the treatment offered to the socio-educators, which is also a reflection of the way in which patriarchy and the traces of colonialism and slavery extended to the institutions that were established after the period of redemocratization in Brazil.
