REFLEXIVE FOOD CONSUMPTION AT THE AGROECOLOGICAL MARKET OF MOSSORÓ-RN

The article has as object of study the Agroecological Fair of the Association of Agroecological Producers of Mossoró RN (APROFAM). The objective was to understand how the families that commercialize at the bazaars and those that consume see the nourishment security strategies, in what way and what are the bonds created among the actors involved and how the fair promotes the cultural valorization of food. Methodologically, interviews were conducted with 71 consumers of the Mossoró Agroecological Fair, which were recorded and transcribed for the purpose of analyzing the results. According to the results, it was possible to identify that the FAM promotes an province that goes beyond buying and selling goods, but also in an environment of sharing environmental and social diversity among the actors. The fairs work as a rescue to cultures that for a while were devalued, making it possible for the producers to remain in their activities with better situations. The work contributes to the condition of demonstrating the importance of the spaces for commercialization of agroecological products and points paths for future researches that direct a better coexistence and conditions for producers and consumers who seek not only to acquire or supply products, but to strengthen a way of life that has sustained generations.
