Abstract

Our objective in producing this article is to understand the conceptions of organizational violence and representations of violence arising from the work of researchers selected from the Capes Catalog of Theses and Dissertations. From the perspective of Booth et al (2012), we found the following results: (1) The use of the term representations of violence in several titles focusing mainly on content analysis (Bardin, 2011) and (Bahktin, 2006) and (2) the lack of the term organizational violence as the title of theses and dissertations coming from postgraduate communication programs in the country.
