This article integrates an ongoing research, whose objective is to analyze the public policy of professional training for women in Teresina, between the years 2015 to 2019, as an effective tool to improve the conditions of entry into the world of work, from the perspective of policy user. Expanding the researched context, this article sought to answer the following question: the municipal public management has offered professional training policies that corroborate with female emancipation, or does it just reproduce the conception of the sexual division of labor, offering qualifications that ratify jobs historically destined for women? ? Starting from the premise that the offer of professional training for women contributes to the maintenance of spaces identified as feminine, reinforced by the sexual division of labor, this article identified and analyzed experiences of professionalization policies for women in Piauí municipalities, understanding how these proposals are placed at the municipal level, enabling the resolution of demands to encourage professional.The documentary and exploratory research collected data from experiences of public policies and professionalization actions for women on government websites of the five largest municipalities in Piauí, permeating a survey through a comparative table, seeking to understand their nature and proposals for social change to the target audience. , in addition to highlighting conceptual elements about the implementation of public policies for women in Brazil.
